Ben Grossman has compiled a series of statistics that are sure to intrigue internet marketers and SEO specialists in general. I recommend this slide to anyone who is in the field of SEO, SNM, SEM, blogging, and internet marketing. Enjoy!

  • There are 38,127 searches on Google, Bing and Yahoo every second
  • 78% of online consumers do their research before they buy
  • 70% of Facebook users who click the like button on Pages do not feel they’ve given their permission to be marketed to
  • 50% of Facebook users log-in every day
  • 130 Friends is the average sphere of influence a Facebook user has
  • 72% of adult celphone users text messages
  • 65% of adult celphone users sleep with their phones
  • 50% of US celphones will be smart phones by Christmas 2011
  • 1 out of 3 Yelp serches is from mobile
  • 41% of US internet users threatened to stop buying from companies that sent irrelevant messages
  • 81% give their email address for a giveaway, deal, or upcoming sale
