AltaVista

AltaVista is a search engine that was released in 1995. At the time of its release, the search engine was able to index a maximum of 20 million pages on the internet, which made it one of the top search engines at the time. The search engine was later surpassed by the like of Google, and was eventually bought by Yahoo before closing in 2013.
