Today’s post highlights some tried and tested ways on how SEO offers incomparable value to a company or brand which have definitely worked for me whenever I explained SEO’s value to my potential clients. Let’s start.

Why SEO is Important for Businesses-1#1. User Experience

Being a respected and well-known SEO expert entails quite a few things. One of them would be the knowledge of the intricacies of the search engine industry. This means that a true SEO expert has to be on the lookout for any updates the search engine giant, Google, puts out. Aside from knowing the regular updates, SEOs should also be able to adapt their strategy in accordance with the newest updates.

Google, as the world’s leading search engine, undoubtedly has numerous ranking signals. Consequently, their recent updates have definitely been focused on improving a user’s experience on websites.

Being SEOs, we need to be mindful of our overall strategy, and not just focus on things such as link building, content creation, etc. We must understand that each and every website that we handle should be focused on improving the quality of its user’s experience.

At the same time, we should also be able to adapt to new tech that Google introduces. Some of these tech are:

  • Putting importance to a mobile responsive design for the mobile-first index
  • The introduction of AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages)
  • The launch of PWA (Progressive Web Apps)

As I have said, since Google regularly introduces new updates, it is imperative for us to adapt and change our strategies accordingly. Personally, this is one of the greatest, but hardest parts of SEO.
You might think what being updated about the latest tech releases and being able to adapt to it means for a business. Well, this means a great deal of value for businesses that have an online presence because SEOs have the most information about the online industry and how a brand or business can adapt their website to these updates.

It also gives them the value of having the insights how to aptly go about the update, and avoid getting penalized by the search engines. Basically, having an SEO expert work on your online presence means that you have a person or team dedicated to pleasing all the potential customers your business has.

Aside from having someone that is dedicated to pleasing your customers in the online landscape, businesses also have an additional team that works closely with your IT team, designers, and engineers in order to bring about the best possible experience for all the users that visit your brand’s website. From having a mobile-optimized website to making your website as structured and organized as possible,

From having a mobile-optimized website to making your website as structured and organized as possible, SEOs have the capability to take a website to the top of the search industry.

Why SEO is Important for Businesses-2#2. Brand Building

Undoubtedly, SEO is of great importance for the technical side of a brand’s online presence, however, it is still a fact that SEO also has its foundation in marketing. One of the main focus of SEO is in content creation and marketing – which strongly relates to having success in organic searches.

SEOs make it a point to understand their audience, research what the latest trends are, know what their audience regularly looks for, and finally write content that caters to their audience’s niche. Having original and quality content is what separates YOUR brand from any other business that might be in the same industry. Since there are innumerable websites in the internet that constantly publishes content, SEOs are the ones that point the traffic into your site/content.

Having a team that is regularly putting traffic into your site may not sound much, but if you think of all the websites on the internet, only a few of those get visited by the majority of users – and a business that has a top-notch SEO team working with them will surely receive most of the traffic that other online presences yearn for.

Basically, SEO experts are the ones that are knowledgeable about what people are searching for, and with the best tools available to them, knows which general search queries to target based on their keyword research and strategy.
Being visible in the search results means that you are building trust with users. If they see that your brand is in the search results for their queries they start to think that your site is trustworthy and is a hub for quality information that answers their search queries – which would bring about an image that instills loyalty to their customers.

The point of being visible in the SERPs (Search engine results pages) means that whenever a potential client or customer has a query your website automatically their first choice to visit in order to find the answer to their query. Being the first brand that answers a potential customer’s query is immensely valuable for any business.

Additionally, if users enjoy their visit to your website, they will have an inclination to immediately head over to your site for any particular content that they are looking for in your niche. This will influence the user’s personalized search results, and will, in turn, gain you, constant organic visitors.

Why SEO is Important for Businesses-3#3. Long-Term Success

The importance of ranking highly for a keyword that is known to have average to high search volume is undeniable for any business. This is due to the constant traffic that your website receives as long as they retain the position they have on the first page of the search results. However, this is hard because it requires a lot of effort and time to achieve the results that you want.

An alternative for this is to focus on your long-tail keyword strategy. Through ranking for keywords that have less competition but still has a decent amount of search volume, businesses will have constant traffic for a longer period of time.

Having success in organic search is a very demanding endeavor because the results are essentially based on the search engine’s algorithm understanding of the most relevant results for a query.

Unfortunately, your success in the online industry does not depend on how much money you shell out because you cannot pay your way to the top. However, you can still use the money to have paid advertisements in the search results, but organic results are more trusted than paid ad results.

So, to thrive in the online landscape a business should have an SEO that has the necessary skill and understanding of the ever-changing search engine algorithms.

Key Takeaway

There is an immense learning curve for SEO, and as updates regularly happen, the first to adopt the changes  would also be the one that would assist businesses in gaining new customers before anyone else.

This is why SEO can offer any organization incomparable value because being an SEO experts means that they have to thoroughly understand the organization’s business vertical, the target audience/customers, and the overall structure of the business.

Being visible on the first page of the organic search results can be considered as the first interaction of your business and the user. After this interaction, it can definitely lead to further engagement by the user through social media channels and other marketing schemes such as emails, subscriptions, and newsletters.

The online landscape is something that constantly experiences changes, and this opens new opportunities for businesses to grow and succeed. However, these changes entail that businesses should have a person or a team that is solely focused on understanding, adapting, and executing changes in the brand’s online presence in accordance with the update – and this is where SEOs shine the brightest.
